After several changes in 2009 the band found its perfect equilibrium to initiate work for a new record when drummer Manuel Riegler and multiinstrumentalist Georg Tran, known for his cunning arrangement skills as LANDSCAPE IZUMA, joined the line-up. In RUSSKAJA’s Zebo Adam FRANCIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT found a congenial partner and producer for their creative ambitons. Their enthusiastically perceived debut WE ARE JELOUSE. WE ARE GLASS. sweetened up the summer 2008 with striking indie-pop tunes such as WORDS ON LOGS or DANCING SHIPS. Now MONSTERS and the honestlytoogoodtobeBside song FEET OF CLAY are promising to even go beyond that and offer an early taste of the upcoming second album. Both tracks reveal: FRANCIS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT became skillfull studio-geeks obsessed with production-details, preserved their love for catchy tunes with melancholic ambience and know how to utilise the former to achieve the latter.
